Part time and full time work is available starting as close a 5 minute walk from Vora Mission Valley Apartments ranging from restaurants, retail, grocery stores, salons, banking, pet care, landscaping, auto mechanics.

There are two beautiful outdoor malls (Mission Valley and Fashion Valley) just down the road as well with shopping, eating and movie theaters.

Hiking in Mission Trails regional park can be found just 2.5 miles away and encompasses more than 8,000 acres of both natural and developed recreational areas. It’s rugged hills, valleys and open areas represent a San Diego prior to the landing of Cabrillo in San Diego Bay in 1542.

Downtown San Diego is a short 15 minute drive or 35 minute trolley ride. Downtown is the city’s culture hub where you can enjoy the historic Gaslamp Quarter, with a lively dining scene, and Little Italy, lined with trattorias. Performing arts venues include the grand Civic Theatre for opera and bands. On the bay front, there are tall ships at the maritime museum and vintage planes on the USS Midway, plus shops at Seaport Village, waterfront park and the San Diego Padres at stunning Petco Park. The Museum of Contemporary Arts has 20th-century works.

Find yourself in the beautiful Laguna Mountains after just a 45 minute drive from Vora Mission Valley Apartments . Surround yourself in the Jeffrey Pines, Pinyons, and Ponderosas as you hike through endless trails to large open grassy meadows all within the Cleveland National Forest. Mount Laguna offers mountain biking, trail running, overnight tent camping and breathtaking views all the way from Downtown San Diego to Anza Borrego Desert. Sitting at about 6,000 feet elevation at the summit, you can even enjoy sledding in the winter months.

With Mexico only being a 25 minute drive away, it is a great opportunity for cultural immersion. Get the chance to learn a new language, share food with a local, buy hand made jewelry and gifts from the shops. This trip can be done in just a few hours.

The Atlas Life emotional support dog program is a form of experiential education/therapy designed to not only provide our students with the unconditional love and companionship of a support animal but also teach our young adults to be nurturing toward others, to be the caregiver, teacher, to improve self-discipline, emotional regulation and executive functioning in the process.

The Program Includes:

  • Basic care for an existing emotional support animal

  • Obedience training

  • Emotional support training

  • Disability training

  • The selection of a breed from the very beginning
